HOW CAN WE HELP YOU?

Q: What if I need to replace the products that are still on the warranty period but no longer in production?

A: In this case, RUNACC would replace it with an equivalent product with about the same performance or even an upgraded product.

Q: How do I know that what I purchased is the genuine products from RUNACC?

A: Please make sure you purchased the product from the runacc.com official store or the RUNACC authorized channels. You can scan the QR code on the packaging or the guidebook to check the identification. 

 Product- Water Filter

Q: Does this water purifier filters out the heavy metal and tiny viruses?

A:RUNACC water filters have been tested by independent and qualified research laboratories and found to remove 99.99999% of bacteria. The filter does not remove chemicals, dissolved solids (like salt or fluoride), or viruses. However, viruses are very rarely found in North America or when traveling to foreign cities.

Q: How often should I backwash my filter straw?

A: We recommend backwashing your filter when the flow rate begins to diminish, before prolonged storage, and when you are ready to start using your filter again. Backwashing your filter after storage is a great way to re-wet the filters and restore the flow rate before use.

The frequency of cleaning depends on how dirty the water is. With relatively clear water, backwashing may only be necessary every 1,000 gallons whereas, with extremely turbid or muddy water, backwashing may be required every 10 gallons. Nevertheless, backwashing is an extremely simple process and takes only a minute.

Q: Will it get clogged while I'm out on a trip?

A: Even with very high particulate/turbid water you should get 5 to 10 gallons through the filter. If this is not enough water for your trip, you should plan on field backwashing your filter.

Q: What is the shelf life of this product?

A: Since the filters and purifiers can continuously be backflushed and re-used they have an extremely long life. The filter/purifier membrane may never need to be replaced, however when the flow rate slows or the filter clogs, simply backwash the unit with the provided backwashing device to clear out the pores.

Q: If the weather is so cold maybe in freezing water, this still work and no damage?

A: Filter is safe from freezing temperatures if it has never been wetted. If you are in freezing temperatures, we recommend that you store your filter in your pocket or close to your person so that your body heat can prevent freezing. THERE IS NO WARRANTY FOR A FROZEN FILTER.

Q: What is the flow rate?

A: 600ml/min

Q: Is there anything I should do the first time I use before taking it the field?

A: Yes. The first time you use your filter system, there may be some loose adsorption material that got knocked loose during packaging and shipping.  It is not harmful but if it is not rinsed out it could be enough to slow the flow rate.

To avoid this:

  1. Put the inlet hose of the ball pump into clean water and make them connected to filter straw.
  2. Squeeze the ball pump at least ten times to work the water in and out of the foam.  Some of the water will absorb into the foam so take the micro squeeze off.
  3. When the ball pump recovers slowly, you should take the water inlet pipe out of the water source, gently squeeze the ball pump for several times until it recovers, then squeeze it several times to squeeze the water out of the filter straw, and cover it with a straw outlet cap. You are now ready to start using your new filter.
